Trek details

-
Students will be required to carry all their personal equipment everyday from one camp to the next.
-
Each day students will walk approximately 8k through mountain roads and rarely used jungle pathways.
-
An emergency vehicle will be traveling behind the trek at all times. It will only be used in emergencies and will remain mostly unseen to the trekkers.
-
The trek takes place within approximately 15-20 minutes drive to Ojochal or Cortes.
-
Jungle Academy will provide tents and camping structures.
-
Children will be required to use primitive, but carefully planned, toilets facilities for the duration of the trek. Yes! That means pooping in a hole!
-
Jungle Academy will provide all main meals for the trek, plus Schmores for the first night’s campfire.
-
Students will have the opportunity to play in waterfalls and cross rivers, so should have appropriate clothing.
